Halldale highlights IDT–Air Astana Collaboration on “UPRT 2.0: Advanced Back-to-Basics”

February 13, 2024 by Ravi Advani

Halldale Media, the leading publisher specializing in commercial aviation flight training, has featured the successful collaboration between IDT and Air Astana, the flag carrier of Kazakhstan. Together, we launched a revision of the Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) program, known as ‘UPRT 2.0: Advanced Back-to-Basics’.

This updated program goes beyond standard regulatory compliance, offering a more impactful and experience-driven approach to pilot training. Designed to replace Air Astana’s existing compliance-focused program, UPRT 2.0 introduces advanced training methods that emphasize real-world scenarios and critical decision-making under pressure.

The program officially launched with the Operator Initial phase in October 2023, providing pilots with several exercises aimed at enhancing their awareness and recovery skills. Additional phases of the program are scheduled to roll out soon, further strengthening Air Astana’s commitment to the highest standards of aviation safety and pilot preparedness.
